According to the pollution situation and the chemical properties of the pollutants and the physical and chemical properties of stainless steel, physical and chemical methods can be used for regeneration and cleaning.

The physical method mainly uses: clean liquid backwashing, clean gas backwashing and ultrasonic cleaning.

The chemical method mainly uses: dilute acid, dilute alkali, oxidant, surfactant, enzyme and other cleaning agents.

The above methods can also be used alternately. According to several common applications, the cleaning methods of the metal mesh filter are as follows:

 

1. When there is dust and dirt on the surface, it can be washed with soap, weak detergent or warm water.

2. If there is bleach and various acids attached to the surface of the cylinder, rinse it with water immediately, then soak it with ammonia solution or neutral carbonated soda solution, and wash it with neutral detergent or warm water.

3. There are rainbow patterns on the surface of the cylinder, which is caused by excessive use of detergent or oil. It can be washed away with warm water and neutral detergent.

4. Rust caused by dirt on the surface of stainless steel can be washed with 10% nitric acid or abrasive detergent, or with special detergents.

5. The trademark and film on the surface of the stainless steel filter cylinder can be washed with warm water and weak detergent, and the adhesive component can be scrubbed with alcohol or organic solvents.

6. Grease, oil, and lubricating oil pollution on the surface of the cylinder should be wiped clean with a soft cloth, and then cleaned with neutral detergent or ammonia solution or special detergent.

7. The parts with weak corrosion resistance in the passivation film on the surface of the cylinder will form pitting reactions due to self-excited reactions, generate small holes, and with the proximity of chloride ions, a strong corrosive solution will be formed, which will accelerate the speed of the corrosion reaction.

8. For decarbonization filtration in the pharmaceutical and chemical fields, backwashing and backwashing methods should be often used in combination with ultrasonic cleaning for better results.

9. For stock solution filtration, the following methods should be used for cleaning according to the chemical properties of the pollutants:

 

(1) Alkaline cleaning: Soak in 3-5% sodium hydroxide analytical pure solution for 30-60 minutes at a temperature of about 40 degrees. It is better to use an ultrasonic cleaning machine. After soaking, rinse inside and outside with filtered deionized water or injection water until neutral, and measure the conductivity. Blow dry with pure air at a pressure of ≥0.4MPa.

 

(2) Acid cleaning: Soak in 5% nitric acid solution for more than 8 hours at a temperature of about 40 degrees. It is better to use an ultrasonic cleaning machine. After soaking, rinse inside and outside with filtered deionized water or injection water until neutral, and measure the conductivity. Blow dry with pure air at a pressure of ≥0.4MPa.

 

(3) Organic pollution can be cleaned in combination with surfactants, and cell debris pollution systems can be cleaned in combination with enzymes for better results (food and beverages can be cleaned with high-concentration citric acid).
