What is the difference between primary medium and high efficiency filters

What is the difference between primary medium and high efficiency filters

Primary air filter

The primary air filter can be known from the name. This is a relatively common and widely used filter. It is a frame made of non-deformable metal such as moisture-proof cardboard or stainless steel. The filter layer is made of chemical fibers and artificial fibers, and the folds of the filter layer increase the filter area and improve the filter precision.

The primary air filter is already very common, the price is also very cheap, and the cost performance is relatively high. Nowadays, whether it is a school, a daily home, a factory, or an office, in terms of air filtration, the primary air filter is basically selected. Although the primary filter can only achieve the most basic air filtration, and the precision is relatively low, it can filter out the common dust and suspended matter in the air, and the filtering effect is very good. The air is also relatively cleaner, which can meet the air purification needs of most people.

Medium efficiency air filter

Medium-efficiency air filters are mainly used in central air-conditioning filtration, as well as purification and filtration in fields including biopharmaceuticals, electronics, and food. Secondly, the medium-efficiency filter is generally used at the front end of the high-efficiency filter to reduce the serious damage caused by the high-load workload to the high-efficiency filter and prolong the service life of the high-efficiency filter. Compared with other filters, one of the biggest advantages of the medium-efficiency filter is that it has a large windward surface and a large amount of dust.

The medium-efficiency air filter can filter suspended solids or particles of 1μm~5μm, the maximum temperature can reach 80°C, and the maximum humidity can reach 80°C. It has the advantages of large air volume, small resistance, large dust removal capacity, and reusability.

HEPA filter

The high-efficiency air filter has higher filtration precision, which can capture and filter 0.5μm suspended particles and air impurities. The filter layer adopts ultra-fine glass fiber to ensure the filtration accuracy. The multi-pleat design increases the filtration area and ventilation volume, and reduces the filtration resistance. When choosing a high-efficiency air filter, the size of the working area should be determined according to the different air volumes.

Air filter replacement cycle

For the three different air filters, the replacement cycle is also different. Under normal circumstances, the replacement cycle of the fresh air system inlet filter is about once a week; the replacement cycle of the primary filter is 1-2 months; the replacement cycle of the medium-efficiency filter is 2-4 months; More than one year; the high-efficiency filter replacement cycle is 2 to 3 years. (The above data analysis is for reference only, and the replacement cycle is mainly determined by the filtration environment)

What is the difference between primary medium and high efficiency filters, when choosing an air filter, you must choose an appropriate filter according to your own requirements and application scenarios. The medium-efficiency filter can be cleaned, and it needs to be cleaned regularly according to the actual usage. This can reduce the workload of the high-efficiency filter and prolong its service life.
